What is H.O.M.E. Youth?

H.O.M.E. Youth Ministry is a safe place for youth grades 6 - 12 to build healthy relationships with God and each other in a fun environment.  Our mission is to share God's love, show the fun in being a Christian and to get kids excited about sharing God's word.

What do we do at H.O.M.E?

Weekly Group - Every Sunday evening we meet to share good food, prayer, praise, worship & a spirit filled lesson.

Volunteering - Roadside clean-up, packing & delivering boxes at our local food pantry, neighborhood clean-up, spending time at local assisted living & nursing home facilities & serving here at H.O.M.E at New Beginnings are just a few of the ways our youth family loves to serve.

Fundraising - A huge part of our funding comes from the hard work our youth puts into our various fundraisers throughout the year.  This along with the support of our church family & communities, allows us to support our H.O.M.E. Youth ministry, mission trips & outreach events.

Youth Ministry Leaders

Jacob & Jessica Embry

Jacob & Jessica Embry are Gibson City natives that have been part of our New Beginnings family since 2020.  They have been a couple for eighteen wonderful years and have been married since 2011.  They have a beautiful daughter Caylynn and a local farm filled with furry friends to keep them busy when they aren't here serving or off working their other full time jobs.  Jacob & Jessica came to New Beginnings knowing they were called to do great things for God's kindgom, but even they are blown away at the amazing things God has accomplished through this ministry over the past couple years.  They know that God truly has monumental plans for the New Beginnings H.O.M.E. youth family.

"Youth ministry to me is having a group of people you can go to where you feel safe and secure.  It's about having a place where you can have a sense of belonging.  It is a ministry where we encourage, pray and celebrate together.  I always appreciated how much love and effort was poured into the youth ministry I attended as a teen.  There was so much heart focused on bringing out the best in each of us.  I could truly feel the goodness of the word of God surrounding us and our lessons and that was something I never imagined I would get the opportunity to do.  I am grateful God always has bigger plans for us than we have for ourselves.  Being a youth leader has not only blessed me with many amazing experiences and relationships, but it has also allowed me to be part of a ministry where youth feel safe in discussing their feelings and faith.  To me, that is one of the very best blessings."
